PEAT gats a B-

I grade him out as a B- and the best outing at RT.

Zach was coaching him up on the side line all game long and that is great to see also

No were near perfect and a ton of work still to do with passing off assignment in handling stunts but it was a huge improvement.

next week will be a better indicator.

He did well. Next week will be a better indicator as he will face Beasley most likely. Good on Zach for being a team player and seeing the bigger picture. I have no issue with Strief as a depth backup to many positions.

He'll probably get better game after game. Just like Armstead.

Experience at G and T. He will be a starter next year and that locks down 3 out of 5 spots with real, top quality, NFL talent.

I would rather see him in the RT position and draft a G. I agree with lummOx to keep Streif at backup and mentor to Peat. He could be the new RT for years to come

Still believe Peat would be the better LT than Armstead and Armstead a better RT...

I see Strief on the sidelines one day as someone's assistant.

Love the person, but the player is done, stick a fork in 'em...

And yes, he'd make a better Offensive Line Coach than we have right now...

Peat is naturally a LT and that is all he has ever played so he should do good there.

Armstead is more athletic so the switch to RT should be easy for him. Plus it might cut down on injuries. Switching up might help with that knee strain he seems to suffering from lately.

Just happy to see him play.

I don't really get the idea you guys are having about switching Armstead to RT and inserting Peat at LT.

Armstead is by far the more athletic of the two and are currently a top-10 (maybe even top-5) LT in the league. Athletic ability is most important at the LT position since he usually faces the opponents best passrusher and that is precisely why Armstead should continue to play there and Peat should stay on the right and bulk up a little.

Playing Armstead anywhere but LT would be absurd.

This is incredibly biased on my part but I think he's a top 3 tackle in the league at the minute.

Armstead is a monster and should have been in the pro bowl

JP's been pushing that forever even though Armstead continues to climb into elite ranks as a LT. It makes no sense.

I have come to respect a great OL, more so than a DL. It seems like it takes longer for them to develop and even harder to get them all on the same sheet music. When they do though it's fun to watch...seeing all the blitzes fail, seeing your QB having all day. We really need that with Brees getting old.

Couldn't agree more. You know most successful coaches were not good players. For whatever reason their know how of the position just couldn't translate to physically being able to do it at a high level.

Usually the superstar athlete makes a horrible coach.

That was amazingly pitiful. We use to use the RB or FB to chip on it. No adjustment at all. Strief is old and fat. Great in his time but it's over with. I'm not even sure how this happens. You know he's a great player. Do something to account for him.
