Do you think this is Brees and Paytons last game?

And have you seen that video where Drew is more accurate than an Olympic archer?

 I have seen a video of Drew Brees being very accurate with the football. However as an ex-Archer, and one that has watched carefully archers at the last Olympic tournament. It would be mighty difficut for Drew Brees to be more accurate.

Happy New Year!

Not to be a spoiler, but Brees was more accurate than the archer.

Well it was a joke because that video topic was beaten into oblivion like all these threads about Payton and Brees leaving but it seems some havent seen it so

I agree though. I am an archer and a bowyer and make longbows and reflex bows. A bow is incredibly accurate. Its easy for a big ol football to hit a target and its not all that hard for an arrow to hit dead center at 30 plus yards either. In fact most archery practice targets have 6 bullseyes on them because you usually shoot in sets of 6. It is very easy to split an arrow like on that robin hood movie if you are stacking them on one bullseye. Arrows aint cheap either.

Did you see the Sports Science video on Mark Ingram?

You are dead right, especially at shorter distances. I shot recurve which by design is less accurate than compoud but much more accutate than longbow. I did a robin hood one time in an indoor club tournament. I was not amused. Dem carbon arrows do cost a lot of money.

Arrows made from "Unobtainium" are very rare and difficult to come by.

If Loomis give up Payton, I want him to follow right behind him,,how in the hell do you give up on a coach that led us to numerous playoffs and won the Super Bowl? Just cause he haven't made a statement on this situation yet, I want him GONE NOW! Loomis must go

Clairfy... because if we let Sean go... someone is going to snag him the next day. SO technically it isn't his last game. I think Brees has another year or two and we are in no position to get rid of him.

I think this might be it for Payton. Loomis has given him permission to talk to other teams. Depending on where he goes, we might end up sending him and Brees together as a package. I'm intrigued by a trade for Payton, but I'm afraid of the future without those two.

So where exactly has it been written that Loomis gave Payton permission to talk to other teams? I have seen nothing stating this.

only if a team is willing to mortgage their future. Then another team needs to do the same. If one goes they both might as well go.

nope i do not see it

Nick Underhill of the NEW ORLEANS ADVOCATE...reported it. WTF does this dude know that no one else does. Please, sounds like bs to fuel the hype train about this.

"Fox Sports' Jay Glazer (via Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com) reported Payton and Saints general manager Mickey Loomis will meet Monday. ESPN's Adam Schefter (via Nick Underhill of the New Orleans Advocate) reported "Loomis will give Payton permission to talk to other teams."

"Glazer mentioned a second-round pick when talking about potential compensation," per Underhill."

So I guess since Nick said it, it must be true

These national guys have wanted to bury the Saints and portray us as completely unhinged

I'm ticked that Sean has lost his passion and shrugs it off instead of getting on his players.

It was good to see them go for it on 4th and 2 in the 1st half

Why? We are still built as an offensive team. We will be until Brees leaves. Just because our defense sucks doesnt mean our HC has to be defensive minded. Not saying a defensive minded coach would be a bad idea, but to think that will be our salvation on defense is obsurde.

How is any of this Loomis' fault? If Sean wants to go Loomis cant just say no and Force him to coach. I mean he could but who would want a coach that didnt want to be here? IF Payton leaves it will be on his terms for his own reasons.
I dont get why everyone is down on Loomis. His job is to get the money. We have been up against the cap every single year and people whine "we dont have any money to get anybody good in FA!" What does Loomis do? He does exactly what Payton, who has full control of player personnel by the way, tells him to do. He winds up finding plenty of money every year. Every year we sign one or two big named FA. Its not Loomis fault that money is squandered on underacheiving players.

One could argue that the JG and Junior fiasco is on Loomis but again Payton believed in JR and Loomis payed him.

It breaks down the mechanics of football the physics involved very simply and easily for someone like me who doesn't know a lot about either

Jay Glazer of Fox said it was a lock that Payton was gone in the pre game show

By the end of the second game he completely retracted that and said we will see
