New Orleans Saints sign 5 to contracts for 2016
 

The New Orleans Saints signed at least five practice squad players to reserve/future contracts for the 2016 season on Monday, according to league sources.

The Saints signed receiver Reggie Bell, safety Alden Darby, cornerback Brandon Dixon, offensive tackle Bryan Witzmann and offensive guard Cyril Lemon. All but Lemon were on the Saints practice squad at the end of the year. Lemon was on the squad injury list.

I Think Dixon is the most interesting of the five. His brother has been a decent #5 CB for us and if he can keep progressing and his brother turns out allright too that could mean that Browner gets the boot.

For those asking why the saints did the roster changes they did at the end of the season this is why.

Also saved for next year by moving them to the active roster for the final few games. hard to keep track

I think Hunter was IR'd. Read that he hurt himself on thursday at practice.

I'm surprised we haven't raided other teams PS. Of course, we suck at pro scouting so there isn't much hope that we would bring in another player like Snead that will work in our system. I guess the scenario moving forward is to draft well and build the team that way. Let's hope that Ireland wasn't a one year wonder.
