PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
New Orleans Saints: Cameron Jordan, ED, 89.9
Signature stat: 70 pressures (tied for fifth among 4-3 DEs) A bad defense doesn’t mean that every player on the unit isn’t pulling their weight; Jordan was a beacon of excellence on a consistently listless Saints’ defense. Jordan topped 70 pressures for the second time in his career, but those playing behind him couldn’t capitalize on his consistently disruptive play. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blo...r-this-season/ |
Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
I wonder where Breaux was on the list of Saints defenders...

In the 2nd half of the season he was among the elite CB's in the league every week. Can you guys imagine a healthy Lewis and Breaux on the outside all season? EDIT: actually it was pretty high even with his early struggles... Highest graded defensive players • Cam Jordan (+47.4) • Delvin Breaux (+11.8) • Kevin Williams (+8.6) • John Jenkins (+4.1) • Michael Mauti (+4.1) • Kenny Vaccaro (+3.7) |
Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
My top defender isn't on the roster yet. But be patient he will be after the draft.

Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
Woo
I just found a Cam Jordan jersey in a box at home. I ordered it and a Bo Jackson Royals jersey just before i got sick. I never saw them ir remembered i ordered them until i found them. Good times |
Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
I was surprised to see Jenkins, Mauiti and Vaccaro ranked so high.
|
Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
Well Vaccaro has been a lot better this year than last year. Still some penalties to clean up but I kinda like how agressive he plays.

Mauiti shocks me. Vaccaro I'm a little surprised with. For a safety he rarely makes the big play and he sure looks like he still misses a lot of tackles. |
Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
Kam Chancellor was eaten up by a TE in the Minny game this past weekend and Gronk ripped him a new one in the SB last season. But, he's supposed to be the #2 SS in the league.

Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
We get a good pass rusher next to him for a little help and Jordon will be consistant all pro. He just has to make up for too many deficiancies right now.
|
Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
Thats the thing, its easy to gameplan the Saints. Stop Jordan = Stop the Saints Pass Rush
|
Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
I like Mauti. He gets after it. He's a high motor gut like Scott Fujita. Vacarro looked good to me this year as well. Like I said before, I don't think we're far off. We just need a better pass rush and some upgrades to the offensive line. A TE and WR would be a luxury.

Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
Surprised to see Jenkins, name up there.

Re: PFF: Every Team's Top Defender
