Would Law and Rice help?
I know that they are passed their respective primes, and speed is everything in the NFL; but wouldn't Ty Law (if he was willing to take a pay cut) be able to make our secondary better immediately? This guy can flat out play and would bring a winning attitude to the D. And Jerry Rice is still the hardest working man in showbiz...no, wait.. That's James Brown.. Anyway, wouldn't his ability and work ethic be a solid influence on guys like Henderson and Stallworth?
Just curious what the faithful are thinking. [Edited on 26/2/2005 by 4DSaints] [Edited on 26/2/2005 by 4DSaints] |

Law would be a great pickup. If he recovers well from his injury, he\'d definitely start ahead of Brown.
I don\'t think Rice can help us at all. We\'d most likely have to give him Pathon\'s old spot (assuming pathon won\'t be back). This would keep us from getting our younger WRs on the field. |

Any of you guys heard of a salary cap, and if Rice does not find a starting job he will retire....he isn\'t starter material anymore!

Would Law and Rice help?
Well Pathon gone... ya sign rice to league min. which Saints would get a credit for in cap for signing a vet. Rice would be so great for mentoring Stallworth.

Rice didn\'t seem to help their young receivers develop. Besides, Rice is washed up. I\'ll have to pass on Rice. [Edited on 26/2/2005 by GumboBC] |
