Can't wait to see what terrible free agent signings we make this time around in March!

Got to tip my hat to him for the way he is going out. However, the poop samich called dead money we are eating doesn't taste right.

I still think large part of why he sucked here was utilization, or lack thereof. But I guess when u get in the face of our new DC, have all those penalties along with media meltdown, this is what happens. Was hoping he'd turn it around here, but glad he kept it classy.

It's a shame our local media can't. These guys have been trash talking him all year, and today on the radio they were right back at it with good-riddance music and cheering on-air.

I honestly think the majority of our local sports media crew isn't up to snuff. Chritian garrick and Guss kattengill and a few others are total morons if you ask me. They ride the fence like a bad politician and probably wouldn't make it 10 minutes in a different market.

The local media is embarrassing and yet people don't understand why Payton treats them like dirt every chance he gets, they deserve it

First, the least you could do, is get the team right. Then, you should also try to understand the concept of "context".

It didn't work out but I'm glad he stayed classy, that's a very decent thing to do Browner!

Surrounded by good players most of his career in the NFL. Take that away and things unravel swiftly. I thought this was a horrible signing from day one due to the uncommon number of penalties. Not acceptable. Why this staff could not see that face value is beyond me which is actually a greater concern than his ability. Our evaluation process has been broken for a while on defense. Give Brees an AVERAGE D and we will win an XL bag of games.

"100 (percent) appreciate the opportunity the Saints gave me," he wrote. Really are you sure. You didn't play like you did.

He wasn't talking about the opportunities he gave the Saints.

And most other teams....

Nice to see he's appreciative of the opportunity to play football in the NFL. No one is owed the chance. And he got to play for the best city in the world.

Good life. Good luck.

I thought this was a great signing when he first came on board. Training camp got mixed reviews and it was all down hill from there. IIRC in his contract it said he got bonuses for extended playing time. I was stunned that they kept putting him on the field even with all the injuries.

Still, he wasn't used correctly here. Possibly because we lacked talent around him or the talent needed from our coaches to get him ready.

The funny thing is we brought him in to be a leader after playing for two Super bowl teams. He was supposed to make everyone around him accountable. We have really swung and missed on our FA signings. However with our new staff maybe things will get better. We have been more successful with mid tier FA's than with high dollar impact players.

His parting words were classy. That helped with the bad taste in my mouth.

Get over the "Dead Money" which would you rather have a brain dead DB or Dead Money? Either way you lose. He was horrible so he should have been kept because of the money?

As far as "Let him compete" yeah, what was last year an audition to try harder the second time?

Easy to be "Classy" with $5,000,000 for doing nothing, I'd be classy too? Now where's my $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$?

#39 was ranked 77th corner in 2014 w/15 penalties in 12 games. If you go back to 2013 up in Seattle, he played a total of 8 games 0 snaps in the playoffs. I hate to :deadhorse: but there are reasons the Patriots and Seahags let him walk & we were his 3rd team in 3 seasons. Saints overpaid for a terrible cornerback and we were burned .. badly.

Hopefully lesson learned for us.

True. Jason David all over again. Where is Mike McKenzie when you need him?
