I am a female and I'm not trolling anyone. He may take a paycut but like I said before unless you are going to punt for the Saints, Morstead isn't going anywhere.

Wait, where is your husband! There is no punter in the history of the NFL worth almost 5 million a year.

Let's leave my husband out of this shall we. I didn't say there was a punter worth 5 million and it isn't 5 million a year it's 5 million this year and as I said he may take a pay cut but he isn't going anywhere.

3.25 million free if he is cut. He better take a huge pay cut.

Ellerbe should be cut also. That salary/cap hit is too much for 4-5 games per season. Hello Danny Trevathan or Brandon Marshall!!!

Sign Trevathan, then select Spence in the subsequent draft.

Instant speed upgrades ;).

I know I'm dreaming but hey...

Strief was an above average RT this year and the main reason people give him crap is because they don't what the heck they are talking about.

No, I mean Watt literally made funny of him, not just destroyed him. That he did too. I do not see Strief's play as above average this season.

I hope he sticks around as a backup too. He will be a quality backup

Cutting Strief only saves us 1.2 million. You can't find a better back-up LT/RT for that kind of money. It would be wise to keep him.

Oddly enough Browner hasn't actually been cut yet. What's the hold up?!

Sportstrac has Browner as a free agent. Guess they know something we don't.

He could become a June 1st cut to save more against the cap.

He will be cut by March 10th hopefully they're slow with the trigger to have his cap money count for 2017

Or the Saints could choose to release Browner some time after March 9, the start of the new league year, with a post-June 1 designation. That would allow $1.3 million of Browner's signing bonus to be counted against the 2017 cap.

A lot of the pressures on Brees came from inside. The only O-lineman to grade out worse than Evans was Senio Kelemete.

Re: Jahri Evans released

Let's see if any new team that signs him will give him as much as he would have gotten, taking a pay cut from the Saints. That was a pretty expensive deal to begin with. I don't know how he'll do any better on the market. It's better for us to cut him, regardless. He's had a great career, but he's too expensive even at a reduced salary to play like he has recently.
