It was just a couple of months ago when speculation swirled that the cap-strapped New Orleans Saints, headed for their third 7-9 finish in the last four seasons, might be poised to move on from coach Sean Payton and quarterback Drew Brees. That narrative has now been completely debunked. Six weeks after Payton cast his lot with the team, saying, "I don't envision myself coaching any other club," general manager Mickey Loomis said the Saints not only want to keep Brees, a nine-time Pro Bowler, but to extend his contract. As it really gotten to the point where Loomis has to waste his time with asinine comments like this, hey media NO **** Brees isn't going anywhere go stir the pot with some other team. I swear, its like they want Brees to leave and for the Saints to suck again

Drew will be a Saint until he retires. Sean Payton needs him and Loomis needs to keep Sean happy. I can see an above market rate(slightly) for three years. Drew has been worth every dime we spent.....now we need to spend money along the O-line to keep him healthy and productive.

I just hope Drew is willing to take a slight cut. If not we will be stuck with a avg o-line at best. Not sure he will last another 3 seasons behind that mess.

the Oline isn't that bad off, with a couple moves it could be a strength come next season. LT, C and Peat just need help
