i thought the article about how much money la gives the movie industry in incentives interesting in regards to the saints. on tv i heard reported over $100 million since 2002, producing $170mil in state income. that makes $15-20mil a year seem pretty small. the saints need to publicize how much they return on that investment more.

...One provision that makes Louisiana's program so popular is its policy on tax credits. Louisiana taxpayers, in effect, give movie producers 15 percent of the cost of producing their movies -- including hotel bills, taxi rides and restaurant tabs, as well as salaries of local production workers.
