The Saints have officially released CB Brandon Browner, as expected, and designated it as a post-June 1 release, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. As a result, the Saints will save $2.25 million against their cap, but not until June 1. Browner will still count $4.05 million against the cap this year and $1.3 million against the cap next year.

This was like cutting off that rotted toenail. It's going to hurt for a while, but the benefits far outweigh the negatives. I hope he understands that we all respect him as a locker-room leader and good guy, but he's gone because he's incompetent.
