CFL LB's have basically the same skillset as NFL strong safeties.

He might just be an upgrade to Vaccaro, who will be a free agent next year.

I read that he is Delvin Breaux's little brother.

Now we need just one free safety draft pick to land in the draft and another UDRFA/special teams ace and we get younger and prepared to move on from the debacle that has been Byrd/Vaccaro...

If we get a strong front seven they will dramatically improve the play of the back 4.

Last year a lot of draft analysts said that PJ Williams projected better to free safety. What do you think JP? Granted, we need him at CB but it's just something that I remembered.

Damian Swann was also projected to move to the backstop as well...

P.J. Williams is more of a bump and run corner; but before his slip up, he was liked because he looked good in zone coverage as well and was considered first round material...

If you're gonna move one to safety, it needs to start this offseason...

Need some leadership and firm decision making because this back and forth bs is stunting development of these promising young picks, investments...

we need more CB/FS and SS/LB types. Keep them coming. This is what the pass happy NFL is all about now.

The first question out of a coaches mouth needs to be "But can he tackle?"

Our tackling has been terrible in the secondary. freaking ball tacklers

I read somewhere that he has really good coverage skills and could cover tight ends. Teams killed us across the middle last year with the tight end. He could be a good role player for us and possibly develop into a solid contributor.......or he could flame out. I'm hoping that he follows in Breaux's foot steps and comes in ready to play.

He doesn't deserve the hate, but he didn't make any flash plays.
