NFL Security is in New Orleans conducting its own investigation into an incident in which Saints pass rusher Cam Jordan was accused of patting a woman on the buttocks at a nightclub last fall, multiple sources said Tuesday.

The league’s investigators were scheduled to meet with Jordan, who was never charged with a crime despite the accusation. They will also meet on Wednesday afternoon with the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office, which had deputies working a paid, off-duty detail at the club, the sources said.

A source said it would be a surprise if any punishment is handed down, and it is standard operating procedure for the NFL to look into all allegations to see if they warrant any kind of fine or suspension under the league’s personal conduct policy.

Jordan, a six-year NFL veteran, was accused of touching a woman’s rear end at the Warehouse District club Republic early in the morning of Sept. 6. The former first-round draft pick was also accused of dangling the woman’s boyfriend in the air in the club’s bathroom while onlookers took pictures.

It's not a big deal. Now, if it happened after September 2015 it is now a misdemeanor sexual battery. It is defined as touching another person on the butt, breast or genitals OVER the clothes. It is a misdemeanor but is sounds a lot worse to the public.

Seriously, herein lies the problem - should facts, evidence come to light confirming the accusations against Cam Jordan, then you're faced with precedent from the Junior Galette fiasco...

Saints hypothetically could be painted into a corner; but after the butt-hurt from the Galette salary cap hit, I'm sure the creative Saints PR men will find a way to reclassify Cam's alleged violation...

Either way, now I'm pi$$ed off at Cam because with his bank, he could have been in a much better setting, probably with friendlier companionship instead of indirectly causing this f***ing thread...

...and taking away from our great off-season discussions on Free Agency and The Draft which even Danno has been spectacularly involved!!!

Actually, it was Solavei. I was a subscriber to that service for 2 years. Not one problem. It was one of the best carriers I've had. I've now been forced over to T-Mobile and the quality is worse than when Solavei ran on their towers. Wish they would have stayed in business.

Ah yes. This would be the famous incident in which it was reported that as many as 10 Saints players were in the club at 3 AM, partying their butts off a week or so before the season even started. Hate to say it, but that's when I knew this past season was going to be a bust. One fifth of the roster out partying, like Cristal-splashing numbskulls enacting a scene from the HBO TV show "Ballers." Good job, guys. The Saints had SERIOUS discipline, character, and locker room problems this past year, and the year before as well (if not longer).

Let's hope they fix it.
