That\'s not a great time! But, I think the good coaches know that the 40-times are not the only thing to consider when drafting a player.

But, no one can tell me it doesn\'t have an effect sometimes.

He certainly didn\'t help himself. I have no idea if they would make him slip in the draft.

Perhaps he slips, but do you take a risk at him being at 16?? I still say it is a no-brainer to try to trade up to get him. Terrell Suggs 40 time was sub-par at the combine too. The combine is probably the most overrated event relating to football. That has been proven time and time again.

DJ is a football player, 40 time aside. I don\'t think he will slip at all. He is the most complete player in the draft. No way he falls out of the top 10, and no way we can hope for that. If we want him, and he is there with Tenn\'s pick, we better move up and take it. He is a LB that ran 4.65 for crap\'s sake. What do we want, 4.4? He can get it done. But he doesn\'t fall to 16, if he falls at all.

Are some of you crazy? He\'s a linebacker and 4.6 for a linebacker is more than average. What are you guys complaining about? Some wide receivers in this league ala Anquain Boldin, Michael Clayton, Jerry Rice, etc. run 4.6\'s. He can move to safety if he wants running a 4.6. You guys are crazy unless you want a 6\'1 210 linebacker with 4.4 speed. Weirdos.

No he doesn\'t. And now with his degenerative knee problem he probably coudn\'t break 4.6 anymore. Its a shame. I think he would have been great.
I think Colby Bockwoldt ran a 4.4, maybe 4.45. But he was the fastest LB in the 2004 class.
