I dont care how many wins we get where are long as we have enough to get to the playoffs at this point.

4-2 in division
3-1 vs AFCW
2-2 vs NFCW
Sweep DET and NYG

I'd really like to see us sweep the Falcons and Bucs and at least spilt home and home with the Panthers who seem to have our number, again...

Now, to get back to elite status, we must win all home games: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders.

On the road, the Saints need to take Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers...

These would be understandable setbacks on the road: Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Giants...

F**K! Getting sucked into this again!!! :deadhorse2:

The years when they slip up, drop games, and where they have to battle back, or when they're outside looking in, when they need help, or the seasons when they hit a slump and then have to keep clawing and fighting to find their way back into the mix, week after week....Those years NEVER turn out well for the Saints. It's a clear pattern in every single Sean Payton/Drew Brees season.

2006, 2009, 2011, for three obvious examples -- all those years were pretty darn good, and in all of them the team was a juggernaut, rolling off an impressive string of wins to run the table starting early in the season. Other years where the team falters, slips up, or where they have to kick and claw their way back into the hunt late in the year -- going win one, lose one, win one, lose one, all year long -- those years don't seem to EVER end up being nearly as good for Sean Payton teams. For whatever reason, they're just not built for that. They need strings of wins in a row, not a win one, lose one, win one, lose one type season....

We might get three home games the first four weeks. I'm projecting week 1 at home, week 3 vs Atlanta and week 5 TNF at Carolina which means we have to be at home week 4. But that's just my predictions.

We swept Atlanta last year, we have not swept them back to back since Matt Ryan was drafted. And the division pattern in recent years has been 5-1 or 3-3.

06-4-2
07-3-3
08-2-4
09-4-2
10-4-2
11-5-1
12-3-3
13-5-1
14-3-3
15-3-3

The next time it isn't 3-3 it's likely to be 5-1.

hate to say this out loud but i really hate/like the off season moves the falcons have made

C Alex Mack
DE Derrick Shelby
LB Sean Weatherspoon
LB LaRoy Reynolds
OT Tom Compton.
WR Mohamed Sanu
DE Derrick Shelby
LB Courtney Upshaw
SS Charles Godfrey

I say all solid moves across the board.

Hahahahaha!

Either you're dead wrong and feel stupid. Or you're totally right and you're struttin' around holdin' on to your "I told you so" suspenders. But usually, something absolutely unseen happens making these discussions irrelevant. And any way it does, no one else remembers the thread at all.

Is Matt Ryan elite? Their defense was already good last year. They're going to be Denver good next year? If atlanta's defense were to say hold GB to 10 points you think Ryan will be able to put the offense up 14 points? I mean I can't imagine Ryan winning 24-10 over Rodgers.
