Zach Strief tells WWL radio, 'I'll be able to start until somebody beats me out'
Among the different topics he discussed on a local radio show Thursday, New Orleans Saints right tackle Zach Strief said "I'll be able to start until somebody beats me out."
Strief also talked about what he thought the team might do in the draft, how they can become more competitive with the Carolina Panthers, and where quarterback Drew Brees is in his career. The comments came during the "Sportstalk" show on WWL Radio hosted by Bobby Hebert and Todd Menesses. Hebert led off by asking Strief where he thought he was and whether he thought he would be starting a seventh consecutive season in the opener this September. "We're in good shape at the tackle spot ... and I think Terron Armstead is the best tackle in the NFL right now," Strief said. "A healthy Terron Armstead is as elite as the league has seen in a good while – he wasn't real healthy last year. We have a ton of talent, including Andrus (peat), who is going to be a good player in this league." ![]() read more | |
