Twitter Inc., making a strategic push into online programming, won a deal to show Thursday night National Football League games online, a person familiar with the matter said.
The social-media company was said to be bidding against a slate of heavyweights including Verizon Communications, Yahoo Inc. and Amazon.com. Facebook dropped out of the bidding last week, according to a person with knowledge of the discussions who asked not to be named because the talks were private. http://image.nola.com/home/nola-medi...078-mmmain.jpg read more |
Re: Twitter wins NFL Thursday night streaming rights
This is a step in the right direction, I would hope that one day all the games are available via free stream, especially the games that are on cable only. (Legal streaming that is).

Re: Twitter wins NFL Thursday night streaming rights
Yeah this is lame. I csnt stand Twitter and all this bs. Social media is getting too important to people in this country. I just want to watch football. I don't want a stupid Twitter account. Irritating.
