here they go, another LB
Len Pasquarelli of ESPN reports the St. Louis Rams have reached a contract agreement with Dallas Cowboy linebacker Dexter Coakley. Coakley’s deal is reported to be a five-year, $14.5 million contract. It includes a $3 million signing bonus.
A third-round draft pick by the Cowboys in 1997, Coakley earned the starting weakside linebacker job as a rookie and finished in the top three on the team in tackles all eight seasons. A three-time Pro Bowler, Coakley ranks fourth in Cowboys history in tackles with 1,046. Despite splitting playing time with Bradie James in 2004, Coakley finished third on the team with 91 tackles. ------- he's small but good, doesnt sound like a bad buy either. whodi or other boy watchers? |

I heard that too. I didn\'t want Coakley though. Except for the size, his play reminds me of Derrick Rodgers when we got him, good enough in spots, but definitely on the decline. On another note, I heard Pierce is visiting Minny and could leave with a contract. We suck.
