Triplett Says...
My early pick for the New Orleans Saints' 2016 record: 8-8. Although I think they're capable of beating anyone with Drew Brees at quarterback, and I think their defense can't help but improve. The consistency just hasn't been there in back-to-back 7-9 seasons

Re: Triplett Says...
A one game improvement? With all the young guys coming back and all the positive changes we made?
I see 9-7 as a minimum and 11-5 as our max. |

Re: Triplett Says...
I was thinking the same but for different reasons. 1 game improvement with how bad the D was. If the d is better than last year that has to be worth at least two wins. I am thinking 9-7, if the offense plays the way they did the last few weeks last season I could see 10-6, maybe

Re: Triplett Says...
The D should be significantly improved; Anthony & Kikaha have a year experience and are switching positions(should be able to play quicker). Lewis, Williams, and Swann are coming back. Browner is gone, addition by subtraction.
We have gained a pretty decent MLB in Laurinaitis and Robertson is probably already our best coverage LB... Not too mention, we still have the draft to go... |

Re: Triplett Says...
Problem is we have the 4th hardest sch. I also see a 9-7 or 10-6 but I could also vision a 6-10 season. With this team there is no telling

Re: Triplett Says...
Difficulty of schedule is generally fictitious. It is a measurement simply based upon the previous year's win/loss record of the current season's opponents. It really has very little correlation to the actual quality of those opponents in the current year.

Re: Triplett Says...
Not to mention that the 15-1 Panthers (who we play twice) kinda skew that stat.

Re: Triplett Says...
13-3
We shock people but fly under the radar for most of the season. Defense shocks other teams with how well they play. JL comes out looking like the second coming of Vilma, turns into a leader and voice of the defense. Braeux plays like an all-pro but Lewis has another down year riddled with injuries leaving PJ Williams to step up and start. I think we'll shock some people this year, I like flying under the radar again. Key is the draft; we have two big holes, OG and DE. We must address these spots with somewhat early picks. |
