Joe Horn Interview on WWL

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I didn't hear it but I thought I'd pass this along. Some pretty interesting stuff in there. Taken from another board .... only listened to Part I, but Kenny got Joe to discuss what went down in the lockerroom last ...

Joe Horn Interview on WWL

I didn't hear it but I thought I'd pass this along. Some pretty interesting stuff in there.

Taken from another board ....

only listened to Part I, but Kenny got Joe to discuss what went down in the lockerroom last year and how they pulled it back together in December. Prior to that the Offense and Defense weren't even talking with one another. But once it was them against the world, they found a way to bring themselves back to the point where the O was cheering for the D when it was on the field and vice versa. He also discussed patching up his relationship with Aaron Brooks mid-season after they had a falling out. There was supposed to be much more, but I only listened as long as I did because Horn was on.

The other tidbit was that the Saints and Horn and his agent are trying to put together an extension that would be a 4 year deal and have Joe retire as a Saint. Apparently the sides will work something out to where Horn is paid what he's actually worth. Many people over the last few years have said Joe wasn't as elite as Owens or Moss or whatever, but look at the big picture and tell me who you'd rather have on your team.
In the WWL interview it was mentioned that the Saints are very high on LB Antonio Pierce.
I caught the 2nd part of the interview, and Joe said that he and AB have buried the hatchet. It took a while, but he said that they eventually got back to being pretty close again. I also heard him say something about how AB wants to take more control at the line of scrimmage. He wants more freedom to change play style (check off from run to pass and vice versa, instead of run to run or pass to pass).

In support of AB, Joe said that the reason he didn't have the freedom to check off before is b/c the coaches didn't trust the offense as a whole, not AB (Boo running the wrong route, Riley jumping early, etc). Interesting interview. Would appreciate if anyone hears more to post here.
