Broncos release.......
Sylvester Williams NT
The Broncos will not exercise NT Sylvester Williams' fifth-year option for 2017. The move is a bit surprising for a key member of Denver's front seven. Per beat writer Mike Klis, GM John Elway was unwilling to put himself on the hook for Williams' $6.757 million option because the Broncos want to extend Williams, but "did not want contract negotiations to have a $6.757 million-a-year starting point." The going rate for nose tackles is closer to $5 million a year. Fantasy Football player news, injuries and analysis - Rotoworld.com |

Re: Broncos release.......
They won't release him. Elway is a smart guy. Negotiation starting point won't be influenced by 5 year option price tag. He is still under contract for 2016. 5 year option is for 2017.

Re: Broncos release.......
Pass. I have faith in Rankins. The kid was the Top Rated DT in the Draft. We have him and I can't wait to see him clogging up the middle of the lane.

Re: Broncos release.......
Williams would play next to Rankins, they'd be on the field at the same time... He'd be the 1 tech to Rankins 3 tech
