The way cornerback Delvin Breaux described it, the group of New Orleans Saints teammates who got together at safety Kenny Vaccaro's house to watch the NFL draft sounded like most any other fans.

“We talk about it like fans. ‘Who do you want? What do you think we should get?’” Breaux said during a community event at Woodlake Elementary School in Mandeville, Louisiana, according to NOLA.com. “We’re sitting there pulling up YouTube videos like, 'Man this guy is pretty good. ... I hope we get him.’"

Breaux said almost all of the Saints defensive backs were together at Vaccaro’s house, except for cornerback Damian Swann, who is back in school at Georgia. Running back Mark Ingram also tweeted that he was headed to Vaccaro’s house on draft night, among others from other position groups.

"It was just awesome man, having that group together, having that chemistry," Breaux said, according to NOLA.com. "We didn't do this last year. The fact that we came together as a unit to watch, we got something special."

Based on Breaux’s review, it sure sounds like the DBs approved of the Saints’ pick at No. 12 overall -- defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins. Naturally, they liked the idea of adding someone who can get “pressure up front and make our jobs easier in the back.”

“Whenever they drafted [Rankins], we were like, ‘Oh man, we good! That was what we needed,'” Breaux said.
