New Orleans Saints release 3 players

The New Orleans Saints waived fullback Toben Opurum and terminated and contracts of running back Vick Ballard and defensive end Phillip Hunt on Monday, paring the roster to 90 players before the start of rookie minicamp on Friday.

The Saints used the space to sign three draft picks, including first-round pick Sheldon Rankins.

The 90 players for the roster to hit training camp is shaping up nicely. I still wish we would trade for a starting guard and not settle for other teams cuts to fill our void.
I'm liking what I hear about most of the new blood and can't wait for training camp though.
