Former Falcons LB Nate Stupar says Saints fans 'more passionate'
 

New Orleans Saints linebacker Nate Stupar answered frankly when asked to compare his new team with the Atlanta Falcons, where he played in 2014 and 2015.

"I tell you what, the fan base is a lot more passionate down here," he said.

The comments ignited a mini-firestorm on social media Monday morning, as Stupar participated in the WGNO Saints Celebrity Golf Classic. He joked later that he had to stop checking his phone because of the backlash.

"It's pretty cool to be a part of a fan base that, winning or losing, they're going to be right with you," Stupar said. "I'm excited to play in the dome and have it rockin'."
