Re: Thursday OTA's
Anyone has any news related to CJ Spiller in OTA's? Hopefully he gets back to 100% this season.

Re: Thursday OTA's
Idk how ppl could be surprised seeing Byrd out for his back or knee. Its the same old song and dance, should of made him take a pay cut before it was guaranteed.
|
Re: Thursday OTA's
Bummer. Maybe he's just sitting out of OTA's as a precautionary measure. That knee hasn't been right since he left Buffalo.

Re: Thursday OTA's
Sounds like someone really didn't do any homework on Byrd before we threw the bank at him.
Just because it worked out with Brees does not mean Byrd will be the same. He will laugh it up as he takes every dime we guaranteed him and won't make any impact towards our team. |

Notes and observations from Thursday's organized team activity - Black and Gold
A few highlights: Safety look: With Jairus Byrd sideline, Erik Harris and Vonn Bell played the deep safety role in nickel packages with Kenny Vaccaro roaming the box. Vaccaro was all over the field. He often blitzed, covered slot receivers and played deep as the strong safety. Vaccaro had a few nice blitzes in nickel looks with Stephone Anthony and Dannell Ellerbe handling the linebacker duties. Defensive end shuffle: Hau’oli Kikaha and Davis Tull received their work with the defensive ends during individual drills. Kikaha played Jack during team drills. Obum Gwacham worked some as the strongside defensive end. Kikaha recorded sacks on back-to-back plays at one point working against a second-team offensive lineman. |

Offensive line shuffle: Andrus Peat received snaps at right guard with Senio Kelemete working at left guard. Payton said Peat has been receiving work at both positions. |
Re: Thursday OTA's
Byrd REALLY, do want to play or what. Give back the money you stole.

It's nice to see that laurinitus got everyone lined up quickly and correctly, that's been a lot of the problem recently.

I like that Grayson is feeling more comfortable & confident. I don't know why but I have a good feeling about him.
