Our offense could be record setting this year? If our oline is improved I seriously think we could be looking at an '11 type offense, am I off my rocker?

Yeah you can see something nice developing with a young group of WR's I think.

Brandin Cooks - 1200 yards and 10 TD's last season
Willie Snead - 40 yards from 1000
Ingram - good for 1200 all purpose yards the past two seasons
CJ Spiller - finally healthy??

If our O line gets sorted it could be a very nice development, we just need our D to match them!

I'm excited for the offense but really excited for the additions on defense and the fact that everyone will be healthy.

It's hard to get excited especially after the past couple of years. I do have HOPE that we will set "Good" records and have a great season,

At worst I think we'll be in the top 5 yet again.

Unfortunately 8 of our games are against top 10 defenses from last year.

Not to the 2011 form I just don't think we have the running game that we need.

The key being that those are top ten defenses from LAST year. Many of those teams took major hits to their defensive rosters.

Dat year was crazy. I think that was one of the best offenses in NFL history. Shame our defense was fading and couldn't stop Alex Smith scrambling for like a 30 yard touchdown. It would have been our second SuperBowl win.

Only because everyone is picking us like 5-11, which is awesome. I hope they laugh at us all the way through winning our first 11 games before taking us seriously LOL!

It will be hard to cover all those weapons. If the running game can be top 15 than I believe the Saints can deliver another ring.

Anytime I feel positive about something regarding the Saints in terms of Offense and Defense usually the exact opposite materializes on the field. Happens like 90% of the time. I think the offense will struggle but the defense will actually be stellar early. Win a bunch of games for us with crafty turnovers and stops. At some point though the tables will shift. They will struggle and the Offense delivers.

I never worry about our Offense. It's going to be our D again this year that I am worried about. We shall see.

That 2011 team if my memory serves me correct averaged like 27 points per game on the road. That was crazy!! I remember a guy on First Take was saying how teams try to hold the visiting team to no more than 17 pts and how we were blowing that average out the water. Yeah, that Frisco loss hurts, especially how we overcame a 17-0 deficit in the 1st half to actually take the lead before losing it in the waning moments. I still get upset thinking about that game. Especially when you heard The Giants players say that they knew they couldn't beat us but they knew they could be San Fran. If only Pierre hadn't gotten knocked out of that game.

A tight offsensive line
Darren Sproules

With Thomas also slashing, Sproules was an ever elusive 11th guy that nobody could account for

The really good teams figured out how to contain the damage

In 2016 our line is half suspect and their is no Darren like player to emerge

It's not the offense I'm concerned with. Or even the offensive line.

We MUST create turnovers on defense, stop the run and hold teams under 20pts per game.

This offense is at its best when it's UN-predictable.
