Which NFC South team is the biggest rival of the New Orleans Saints? If this question is too abstract for you to wrap your brain around, think of it this way: if the Saints only win two games this season, and they were against the same team, who would you want to beat? Or put another way, if the Saints are unaffected by the outcome of a game, which NFC South team would you be cheering against loudest to lose a given game?

It's Atlanta at the minute in my opinion but I'm starting to hate Carolina more because of Cam Newton and they've swept us the last two years.

It has, and always will be Atlanta...

That doesn't mean it won't get chippy with Carolina, who's owned us as of late, or Tampa Bay, if they can get off the mat...

Exactly. Is the only one of the three that has been in the same division as the Saints for their entire existence. Honestly, I still feel more about the 49ers and Rams as rivals than the Panthers and Bucs. It is hard for those old days to fade away.

Atlanta is our biggest rival! Since we went through the division realignment years ago it has been them.

I despise the city of Atlanta and it's fans that live there or pledge their allegiance to that franchise and that disgusting city. Oh yes, I hate Carolina too! :razz:

did anybody really care about Carolina 4-5 years ago?

look at Pitt- Cin. They hate each other now, but for 30 years no one in Pittsburgh thought twice about the Bengals

I remember the 49ers owning us all time. Our Dome Patrol was all we had back then to try to battle back. Man....I miss that defense. I still remember the Dome Patrol on the cover of Sports Illustrated. It said "4D" and had Mills, Jackson, Johnson and Swilling on it. Awesome.

I remember 1988, the year I married my lovely wife and turned her into a Saints fan. The Saints went 10-6, was tied for the 4th best record in the NFL, and didn't make the playoffs out of ten playoff teams. Five NFC teams tied with 10-6 records and both SF and the Rams had the tiebreakers against us.
