On June 19, 2007 former New Orleans Saints linebacker Marvin Mitchell was signed to a three-year contract.

The Saints draft Mitchel 220th overall in the seventh round of the 2007 draft.

Mitchell went on to place for the Saints from 2007-2010.

He was a member of the Super Bowl team.
