Does Former New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Joe Horn Belong in the NFL Hall of Fame?

Joe Horn was arguably the greatest Wide Receiver in New Orleans Saints history. Over the course of his ten year NFL career, he played six season in New Orleans, from 2000-2006.

While in New Orleans, he made all four of his Pro Bowls (2000, 2001, 2002, & 2004), and in many ways was the face of the franchise in the early 2000s (along with Deuce McAllister). For his career, Horn finished with 603 receptions for 8,744 receiving yards and 58 receiving touchdowns.

Horn had 5 really good seasons, and two 1300+ yard seasons...IDK?

Miss watching Galdys rush the passer, she had a first step we haven't been able to replace

And a head slap that would make Deacon Jones proud.

If he gets in so would Eric Martin. Martin did more with less and played 9 season with the saints. 8200 yards and 50 tds.

If when u say did more with less u mean personal talent, that's debatable. Joe had way more speed. I stood next to Joe once, about 5" 11 190. Martin much bigger and stronger with Chris Carter style natural hands. Joe was all speed and heart. More importantly he scorched the NFL catching balls from Aaron Brooks and in Jim Haslett's offense. Martin played with Hebert. I say Joe won't make the hall but could have if he had a good QB. Bree's could've put Joe in there easily. I wish Bree's had a WR like that.

They were both good, but probably not as good as Colston, and def not HOF material.

Now had we held onto Wes Chandler...

i remember doing the flee flicker on tecmo bowl with Martin. He would jump like 20 yards and catch it every time. Kinda off the subject....

Re: Does Former New Orleans Saints Wide Receiver Joe Horn Belong in the NFL Hall of Fame?

Eric Martin's biggest handicap was that he played in Carl Smith's offense. For the life of me, I have no udea why Mora never fired his @$$. We couldve had a couple of championships if we would've had a halfway decent offense.

Now we are just hoping for a middle of the road defense. Amazing how it's flip flopped 20 years later :disgusted:.

Ummmm...no. But I do appreciate everything he did for the black and gold. And I believe he's one of the better in Saints history.
