I've read that 21 people have been reported dead & more flooding is expected.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the people caught up in this destruction.

We definitely know about catastrophic flooding...

Saints have got to be looking around at other options...

Wonder if Nicholls State has gotten a phone call and the Saints could return to Thibodaux, Louisiana?

Believe it is just the golf course. Buildings seem to be ok. Ground recovers quick so thinking this is still on.

Nothing against the people of West Virginia, and my sincere thoughts and prayers are with those people in their struggles...

...but having training camp there has been as bad an idea and has been as bad for the team as the double-double reverse...

From what I'm seeing, there's no way the Saints can hold training camp up there...

Anybody remember how bad the air quality in the Gulf South was Post-Katrina?

There're a number of churches in the local area who are getting out a great deal of relief to that community...

This is a tragedy, for real. 25 dead, who knows how many lives affected, by the destruction. In the big picture, this is a tragedy, foremost, and Im saddened to hear it.

I was an outspoken non-fan of greenbriar training camp, being of the "TC should be in the Southern heat," school of thought, but I hate to hear of recent events. prayers for those people.

Woohoo, found air into Dulles nonstop, around same price. Timmys gonna be driving! I have a second room that I have not cancelled since Gail was going with us and now is not.

I'm sure the portion of the community that were to have jobs supporting the training camp stay would much rather have the Saints come there instead of going without income. The manpower being used for flood recovery would not overlap much with a hospitality based workforce. Loosing the training camp would have been an extra blow to the community.

Understand they could use the economic infusion...

But you gotta think that police and first responder services are stretched thin right now...

And factor the air quality after a flooding of that extreme...

Those are not very big communities to begin with, so you know those services are limited before you factor in flood recovery AND the training camp and the circus it'll bring comes to town...

I remember what it meant when the circus named the Saints returned to New Orleans. It might do this version of the Saints good to experience what the 2006 team went through and what they meant to a community, albeit on a smaller scale.

The facilities and ground are fine. Unfortunate for those who lost their lives but people need to take precautions. I'm certain a warning was put out. I'm a damn good swimmer but even I would leave.

It will be a good thing for the locals and also the Saints players spreading some cheer around there for a change.

Anyone have updates (training camp) on the Greenbriar area?

Caught the tail end of CNN coverage the other night and it appears to be a mess right now (looks like post Katrina) & the resort itself is currently being used as a shelter.
