Jimmy's injury history has stayed with him.

I missed his antics on the field and some of his amazing catches, but I dont miss Brees' constant tunnel vision and his lack of blocking.

Good thing we're no longer spending tons of money on a super athletic 6' 6" TE who can't block... Hey wait a minute.

I think this is correct. Unger was really solid and Anthony looks really promising. Brees seems to be able to make any TE look like a stud.

Jimmy was great for us, but itdidnt hurt us getting rid of him or his salary. At least not long term

But it really is sad that Graham's talent has really been wasted. This is why some players should take less money to stay right where they are.

We traded Graham 1.0 for Unger and who became Anthony for Graham 2.0 (who could be better than Graham with Brees throwing him the ball; oh and he's played football/TE a lot longer than Graham has in his life[more experience]...)

Win/Win!

I just think saying we look like geniuses is really myopic. If we didn't have such an abysmal draft in 2014 we might not have needed to trade Graham to fill areas of weakness on our roster. It was a good move to cover for another giant blunder.

I think Grahams cap hit was the reason for the trade; wasn't his hit right around 10 and going up rapidly with each subsequent year?

I'm just hoping this doesn't reappear with Fleener on the field. On 3rd down this year with Cooks, Sneed, Thomas, Fleener and take your pick of Ingram, Spiller, or Cadet out in the pattern, Brees' only vision needs to be the inevitable open receiver.

It just seems to me that if the O-line can pass protect, it's going to be really tough trying to cover all that talent with any consistency.

So here's to no tunnel vision!

No, cap hit had nothing to do with the trade. It was ALL about getting Max Unger. The Saints originally offered Kenny Stills for Unger, but Seattle demanded Graham instead and threw in the #1 pick, as well. The net affect of the trade actually INCREASED the cap hit on the Saints for the year.

I liked every minute trading Puddin'. Jury is still out on Anthony?

Men at Work is the name of the movie. They are two trash men that find a body and hilarity ensues. Look it up. It definitely worth a watch.:beatnik:

The one thing I have noticed is how we get players that 'fit our system'. You put those players in other systems and teams and they are crap, they get lost and you don't hear from them again. Unless they want to come back... example Mechum.

This is it right here.
If we get a groove back in the O-Line, nothing can stop us.
But this is a big IF.
