Saints Key to Success: Re-establish Balance on Offense
With off-season team activities complete and just over three weeks remaining until training camp begins, the New Orleans Saints are slowly preparing to kickoff their 50th NFL season in 2016.
Coming off a 7-9 season filled with inconsistency and injuries, the Saints have become a much younger team throughout the off-season; with the hope that the new additions will increase the number of wins for the franchise in the Saints’ “Golden Anniversary” season. While some will blame the Saints’ defense or the non-existent balance of running and passing the ball on offense, the Saints are in a good position to restore its competitive spirit in the NFC South division. Saints Key to Success: Re-establish Balance on Offense As Mr. Miyaghi once said. "Danielsan must have balance"! |

Or not letting teams average 30 a game....

I mean this might be true, but the problem you have is that when you're down early and often it becomes an air attack since you have to catch up. So despite what the article says this is related to our defense. We compete instantly if our D is 10 spots better.

Of course balance is skewed if your offense is constantly catching up because your D cant stop anyone. |

I don't care as much about balance as I do about being able to pick up a yard on the ground when we need it. We were second in total offense but 8th in scoring.
Also note that we were 7th in time of possession, so it's not like we are wearing our own defense out. We lost 4 games but 7 points or less, and one by 8. If the porous defense could have made just one more play in those games we would have been in the playoffs |
