As training camp approaches, a major piece of unfinished business continues to linger over the New Orleans Saints' offseason. Quarterback Drew Brees is entering the final year of his contract, but he and the team have yet to agree to a new deal. "Do I want to sign an extension? Yes, I do," said Brees, whose salary cap hit for 2016 is $30 million. "Do the Saints feel that way? Yes. Do the fans feel that way? Yes. So we all agree on that." He hasn't shown many signs of slowing down. He passed for a league-leading 4,870 yards last year and threw his fewest interceptions (11) since 2009. Now that the NBA is unwatchable, I really cant wait for the season to start. Saints are my favorite team in sports anyway but now that I refuse to watch pro basketball its even more important that the saints do their thing.

If he defense improves from beyond ****ty to just piss poor then they make the playoffs

On paper we look good. Getting off the bus we should look good. We'll see what happens after that. I have high expectations for this good looking group if we can just stay healthy.

I check bleacher report every day scared to death of injuries . .. so tired of the SAINTS goin down before the season even starts . . . smh . .

If the defense is even mediocre I'll take it.....while hoping for better than that.

I don't like how that sounded. So what about the additions on offense? That wasn't good enough to improve the offense by a extra TD? Thomas won't fill the void left by new Colston? Fleener won't be better than Watson? Are we going to continue running screens? Oh, and then there's the OL where the team(most notably Streif) have pretty much went through the trouble of saying the OL coach replacement for Kromer was the problem.

I mean the offense needs to start games off moving down the field and not waiting until late in the second quarter.
