Tom Benson gets another month to negotiate heirs' trust swap
A federal judge has given lawyers for Tom Benson another month to work on terms to replace at least some of the shares of the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans from his heirs trusts with equitable assets. The 88-year-old billionaire agreed to enter negotiations in June, just three days before he was scheduled to go to trial with trustees who blocked his attempt to remove stock in the teams.
