While the referee initially calls this incomplete and it’s overturned for a touchdown, the pass couldn’t be placed any better. Ben Watson makes an equally impressive catch but what makes this throw even more special is that Brees has to hold on to the pass until the absolute last second with a defender hitting him immediately after releasing the ball.

This isn’t an isolated fluke and shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that pays a little attention to the New Orleans signal caller. In fact, Brees has been one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the league since he arrived in New Orleans in 2006 – never grading outside the top five in passing. When including rushing grades, he’s never been outside the top seven.

Brees is arguably the most accurate QB in the league ranking second in deep passing adjusted completion percentage and seventh at all depths of the field. .... He is a top quarterback and should get paid like one.

32 TDs in 8 consecutive seasons. Never been done, 4800 yards in an off year.

So the question seems to be is the man who led the league in passing yards in 15 games.Finished 2nd in completion percentage. Top 7 in TDs and top 6vin QB rating in 15 games still a top ten QB?

Personally i find all this a big disrespectful. Nobody questions the cheat over in New England yet most years Bress is at minimum on par with his stats. Bess doesn't have the same supporting cast and is a far more aggressive QB but its always he's on the slide.

Uhmmm..........no I didn't read it. It looked like just another Drew is in decline article.

I will say this. He is a first ballot Hall of Famer. He would have thrown for over 5000 yards again if not for missing a game. The offensive line is arguable good or bad depending on your point of view, stats and several other factors figure into his production.

He's been durable and works hard to stay in great shape. I fully anticipate a few more great seasons with him easily throwing for over 4000 yards. And that is with a good running game to help his aging body while Sean transitions the way he uses him as his father time catches up with him.

Is he still a top ten QB? Oh yes, He's The Man! :bng:

It's a shame some didn't read it. It went into deep detail explaining why he is indeed still the man.
People are critical because the article validates what we all know??? Seriously?
