'People are starting to notice me more': New year, new look for Saints WR Willie Snead
 

Many Saints fans didn’t even know who Willie Snead was this time a year ago.

But after catching 69 passes for 984 yards and three touchdowns last season, that has changed.

He's adjusting to the new success just find.

“A lot of people are starting to notice me more than they did last year,” Snead said. “But at the same time I just have to focus on myself and try to get better each and every day I’m out here.”

And Snead will be more recognizable this year with his long hair, now dyed blond, flowing from underneath his helmet.

The color wasn’t by design, but the Florida native is making the most of it. He even sported gold cleats that matched the color of his hair on Thursday, the first day of training camp.

“I’m just having some fun,” he said. “It’s a new look. I don’t really think much of it. I wanted the tips blond and the whole head ended up being blond. It's going to have to wear on people. We’ll see how it goes. If it doesn’t work, I’ll change it up.”

His teammates ribbed him about it when they first saw it, but Snead isn’t bothered by that. He is just looking to improve during his second season with the Saints. He’s confident.

“This year is going to be a good year for me,” Snead said. “I feel it. I’ve been working hard.”

just have a year like last and some thomas here and there then kick in some beaver and we are in babbbbeeeeeee

His TD total is going to rise.
If he takes over the slot position, and Coleman and Thomas come alive,
the middle will be wide open for him and the TE in the red zone.
Snead makes adjustments on the ball (Lance Moore like) and has good hands in traffic.
He needs to be on the field on 3rd and long.

He's going to have even more success with Thomas, Cooks and Fleener drawing coverage as well.
