Re: Ken Crawley

The receiver is as much to blame for that interception as the quarterback...

Not that Crawley didn't do a great job of taking advantage of the mistake...

(That's what our defense has got to start doing for us to get back to, you know)

if like me you are also bored on a rainy Sunday and didn't know who he is:

grim but realistic prediction: August 30th cut (rosters go to 75)

Jump ball...

Re: Ken Crawley

Ken Crawley, De'Vante Harris and Jimmy Pruitt will all be great practice squad candidates this season. Barring injury we seem set with Breaux, Lewis, Williams, Swann and Dixon (more for being our ST ace.)

Re: Ken Crawley

It looks exactly like the pass Luke McCown threw to Brandin Cooks in the panthers game which Josh Norman intercepted and ended the game.

Long story short, don't throw jump balls to Brandin Cooks, they are not his forte.

Well 3 of those guys above have had injury problems so I wouldn't count on all of them making it past camp healthy.

Every time Swann makes a tackle, I hold my breath.

Fingers crossed he stays healthy.

If this guy perform great in preseason, we won't be able to hide him and sign him to the practice squad. This going to be interesting battle between Brian Dixon & K Crawley

he's a camp body who made a decent play
a quick glance at the article will tell why he wasn't drafted

Just had a look and wow

He gave up 19 pass TD's, only had 3 picks and got called for pass interference 12 times in 2 years.

From what I've read so far at camp, Brian has been SOLID on special teams. Crawley would have to ball out of his mind to take his spot.

hmmm...who does that remind me of? initials BB... a real douchenozzle...?

okay, that's an unfair comparison, but if this kid was that undisciplined in college then he needs to start looking at career #2

Re: Ken Crawley

Hopefully under the right tutelage he can correct those flaws (PI) Put some boxing gloves on him during practice if he start holding and grabbing in practice. With 4.43 speed he just need to gain confidence where as BB didn't have any skill set

Yep, sounds like your typical gifted athlete who is still raw, lacking refined technique. I'd guess about 2/3's of them just never get it and end up out of the league quickly. Hopefully he's one of the 1/3 who improve mentally/physically and earn a spot in this league.

Longshot... but so were numerous CB's in the league today.

I agree 7 reps is not impressive but you will be shocked. Odell Beckham had only 7 reps and ran a 4.43

Re: Ken Crawley

Only fair to post Brian Dixon combine: his vertical is 6 inches shorter than Crawley but bench press 7 reps more than Crawleys

— Brian Dixon ran the 40 in 4.41 and 4.43 seconds. He had a 30 1/2-inch vertical jump and 10-4 broad jump. he did the short shuttle in 4.56 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.08 seconds. Brian Dixon, who has 32 5/8-inch arms, performed 14 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Brian Dixon is a possible priority free-agent pickup following the draft.

my money on Brian but I am interested to see how Crawley perform. If he keep standing out in practice and preseason the line up will be Lewis, Breaux, Swann, Williams, Dixon & Crawley.

Re: Ken Crawley

If everyone gets through preseason relatively healthy Crawley will develop a hang nail which will send him to IR.

This right here... This is leadership! This is one of those intangible things that will make our defense respectable again.

Re: Ken Crawley

That wasn't the receivers fault. Dude jumped up and beat him and made that play happen. It's a hell of a lot better play than 99% of our secondary last year.
