WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. -- Tommylee Lewis is trying hard to make himself more than a fun New Orleans Saints training camp story.

The 5-foot-7, 168-pound receiver scoots around the field in Joe Horn's old No. 87. From the looks of him, you quickly assume he would be simply a return specialist in the kick and punt return game. This could easily be his best route onto the 53-man roster given the Saints' depth at wide receiver.

This kid's got some heart. I love players that haven't had the red carpet and rose petals set out for them.

Gives them an edge that you just can't buy with fancy combine #'s and draft status. Often when you're not "prototypical" you have to get a little creative to win.
