What was good about Austin Johnson was he was a throwback player; he played fullback and linebacker at Rocky Top...

...so you essentially had a made-for-order special teams player who could also function in a stacked pro-set, especially in subpackages at the goal line...

Liked Johnson and was not happy when I saw the tweet re: his injury...

The Kuuuuuuuhn era is really over in Green Bay.

For the first time in a decade, a different crowd will chant the name of John Kuhn. The veteran fullback has signed with the New Orleans Saints, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

Kuhn's departure from Green Bay comes as little surprise. The Packers invested a draft pick on Oklahoma fullback Aaron Ripkowski a year ago with the express purpose of succeeding Kuhn in the upcoming season.Still, Kuhn's experience and willingness to play on special teams made him an attractive free agent to other teams.

Perhaps the most recognizable fullback in the NFL, Kuhn has spent nine of his 10 seasons in Green Bay after entering the league as an undrafted free agent from Shippensburg. Kuhn spent his early years participating mostly on special teams, but became the Packers' featured fullback around the time Aaron Rodgers replaced Brett Favre under center. Kuhn went on to become one of the league's most versatile players, blocking for 1,000-yard rushers like Ryan Grant and Eddie Lacy while establishing himself as a capable goal-line runner and backfield receiver.

He led all fullbacks with 12 total touchdowns between 2010 and '11, and went on to earn four Pro Bowl nods and a first-team All-Pro selection.

I can see him getting a few TDs this year. Should get used to dump off a few passes on short gains. Blocked pretty well for Lacey too
