he puts on clown suit and becomes so ill he just couldn't go on, he learned that mattie ice and katelynn jenner were dating and just got sick, had to give excuse retiring. he will later come out of ret. and come home to nola.

I think more than likely he got to camp and realized his body couldn't do it anymore. Just because he declared he is retiring doesn't mean it has to be any specific team. He may yet sign with Saints. Or maybe it's sour grapes with the Saints? Didn't he or his wife make a social media post kind of bashing the Saints decision.

Lance did a lot of things well in New Orleans, but this may have been the money shot. Laying it all out on the line when it mattered most.

Sometimes its better to just say you'll retire than have to face another cut. WR's in the Saints system do very well. When they want to venture off for a pay day they learn real fast the pasture isn't greener on the other side. None have gone off and been successful with other teams.

The odds of the Saints signing him and him making the cut with the group we have is slim to none really. Best to go out on your own terms and retire.
