Fullbacks are badass. Fun to watch them just smash people. I was disappointed that we got rid of Jed.

I too love seeing a FB score or make a big catch on 3d down by catching the D off guard.
I would much rather keep one of our promising young DBs this year though. The writer was correct that they drop like flies. Especially for the Saints the last few years. |
Re: Why Saints’ Sean Payton Gives Life to a Dead Position
Well I know from being a RB that there were many occasions when I was in the lone back field or split out that and broke off a nice run that if there was one more damn blocker leading me through the whole to lay out a safety I would would have several more TDs that I did.

Re: Why Saints’ Sean Payton Gives Life to a Dead Position
FBs worked well for us when we could get ball carriers beyond the front line.
They worked well when the FB could just take 1 LB out of the play. They worked well when arm tackles were useless against the likes of Duece. They worked well when we had a PT who could convert a screen with the best of them. Of late, it kind of seems like a waste. Payton started using TEs as the blocking back and decoys at the goal line. Johnson blocks and catches the ball well. I think he will stay around. |

Johnson is injured.
Kuhn was signed. Johnson is history. I liked him too but he is history. |

Dont think Johnson and Kuhn should both be on the roster
