If he's injured - he cannot be released.

Therefore, there'd have to be an injury settlement in order for the two parties to part ways.

He'd now be the odds-on favorite candidate for IR/Designated to Return if his injury is as described; hard to believe he did that in one practice upon returning; have to question his training, conditioning regimen...

Reality is we're gonna lose a cornerback this year; while Westbank has missed some time the past few seasons, we could do alot worse than having a returning, rested and recuperated Westbank to re-energize our secondary later in the season...

It was reported by Sean Fazende on yesterday (Fox8) that KL has a hip strain. Keep in mind he had surgery on his hip this off season. Not a good sign at the corner back position.

In limited, closely monitored action, re-injuring an area that was surgically repaired the previous year doesn't sound encouraging.
