Can't help but think we are just incredibly soft as a team.

I've never heard of so many injuries to our starters, especially the defense.

How many starters are now healthy for us on D.....4...5?

I'm a firm believer that they should have been practicing in the smeltering heat the entire time. It's much easier going from a hot envirement to a cooler area than going from mild temps to scorching hot. It's easier on the body.

Agreed, these amount of injuries never happened when we trained in Metarie, the only person who got injured every 2 practices was Reggie Bush.

This is just about taking care of your body, eating right and drinking fluids. This has nothing to do with practicing at GB. These guys get paid too much and have too much support around them to be cramping up.

should make the entire team get the depo shot, I think that reduces the number of monthly visits

I don't really put much stock into the Greenbriar makes us soft theory. Yea they got cramped today but it's because they weren't used to the heat. If the football season was played in the summer I would definitely want training camp to be down south in the heat. All the games we have to start the season are either indoors or in climates similar to Greenbriar. After week 5 or so temperatures start dropping. I don't see how exposing them to extreme heat in preseason helps much.
Even if you are constantly drinking water here in NOLA you are going to still get dehydrated working like they do. Dehydration can lead to hamstring and groun pulls.
In this regard it may be better to work in mild climate.
Working in heat may toughen them up mentally a little but I doubt it.

True. But I've always wondered how often that walk further damages their knee injury. Tears it the rest of the way. Why? Pride, ignorance, or carelessness.

If it were me with the million dollar future salary on the line, I'd sit there and wait for the darn cart.

I blew both knees playing. I walked to the sideline both times. When your knee goes it goes. It doesn't get further damaged walking slowly to the sideline.
