Its not like we passed on OBJ to get a place kicker or something.

Deion Jones, Trae Turner, Kwon Alexander, Tyrann Mathieu (though I'll let that one pass because it was said that he needed to get away from the N.O area) Jarvis Landry, Vadal Alexander all come to mind just in recent years. You can debate whether you think those guys were good options, but they were there and any one of them would have made sense. Nobody is saying that the Saints should have drafted every single one of them, but if you don't think there were good players available from LSU then you aren't really looking into it.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

At the risk of distracting the thread's true purpose of finding out who thinks which question is most stupidest, but is LSU the only school producing halfway decent players? Do you really want the Saints to go back to the days of colloquialism where the scouting staff never seemed to even leave the LA, TX, AR area?

Damn! Another stupider question!

I can tell you that that's a really annoying question, if you want the truth. If you read that post, you might have noticed that I was asked to name LSU players who were available at the time the Saints were picking, who would also have made sense.

I never said anything close to suggesting that LSU is the only school putting out good players. They just happen to be one of a handful of schools who put out the very most.

And I have no idea what you are talking about in saying that they used to never leave the LA, TX, AR area. When in the world was that?

Some of you really know how to exaggerate.

"Hey, let's go get something at mcdonalds, I like their food".

"What? Are you saying mcdonalds is the only place that has good food?"

"No, I'm just saying. We haven't eaten there in a while and they make some pretty good food".

"Well we haven't eaten on the moon either, I guess we should go eat there, so we don't hurt the moon people's feelings".

That's kind of what this discussion boils down to.

Hindsight is 20/20 however looking back at the 2014 draft:
Kony Ealy, JLandry, Trai Turner & Anthony Hitchens (we selected Khari Forte @ LB instead) were all available.

It's a good thing the Saints FO got rid of Rick Reiprish (scouting director) .
