Saints acquired DE/LB Chris McCain from the Dolphins in exchange for undisclosed late-round draft compensation.
The Saints are desperate for pass rushers, and the Fins never could quite figure out how to use McCain's talents, persistently shuttling him between linebacker and defensive end. McCain has only two sacks at the NFL level. He will compete for a situational role in New Orleans' sub-package defense

Dolphins never did use him right; he's a true DE and they were trying to make him play a 3-4 LB...

Rams have released Quinton Coples. Id be happy to give him a shot. Might not have worked out for the Jets and Rams but they have far better lines than we currently have here

Loomis wasting draft capital as usual. Not saying this guy won't be worth it in the long run, but did we have to trade away a draft pick?!

Yeah not sure about the pick if the though is he will challenge as a spot starter. Doesnt make much sense.

Might aswell have waited for the cuts to be completed and seen whats there. Lets wait and see though as though i like 7th rounders they are soent on chances anyway so if they think this could work give it a go

How about that O-line? There are some good centers that are available for a trade. Move Unger to guard or maybe those guys can also play that position...

2/3rd's of every player drafted doesn't last two years. And given the constant *****in' about Saints drafting, why not get a player you feel will stick.

When I read an article someone posted on here today it said we have 5 guys left from drafts 2010-2014...and we usually do a very good job of ****ting away our picks. didn't we already give away a pick next draft to move up and take that nigerian canadian?

for the 7th not really bad whether he makes it or not, but I feel exactly where you're coming from.

I kinda wanted to see Kruger here. I know he played 3-4 in Cleveland but wasn't he is the 4-3 in Baltimore? I know we need o-line help but i still think pass rush is a greater need. We don't have the secondary that can survive without a pass rush. The offense can win only so many pissing contest's with a defense that can't keep pressure on a qb.

They obviously didn't want him to be cut out right and hit the open market so a 7th rounder is acceptable. Anyone who watched our games could see that our front four weren't getting it done and changes needed to be made. Still, we are notorious for trading away picks and last years 7th rounder has potential to be an every down back. So I have mixed feelings about this. Can he really contribute?
