I think Kickers develop a little later myself.
You dont see that many kickers come out of college with great records. Well the ones i look at in the draft all have some easy misses. My guess its probably a nerve thing, they need to get a bit older and settle down and get into a routine.

He seems to have the power i his leg by what my mate reckos so lets see.

He's got 60+ yarder range. Accuracy is the question. Dude has a howitzer for a leg.

I agree but when our kicker misses a FG and coach immediately gets out his news paper with available kickers, we will never really know if they can get better lol.

Lultz will often get the nickname of Lulz(LOLz) when he misses a FG.

Can we all just calm the hell down with this nonsense?!?!
If there's one position on this team that Sean Payton has seen the most of it has to be Kicker.
For God's sake!
He has brought in at least 300 Kickers in his tenure as Head coach!
The man is obviously a perfectionist!
Give it a rest already!
Sorry guys.

Tells ya things aren't as good as they had us believe in camp. Trying guys out and cutting and signing new ones...

Don't get me wrong always kick tires you never know but with what we say in the preseason they better get a O line in here fast.

How nice would it be to have a kicker that can hit 55 yrd FGs as the norm... I recall multiple times last year we didn't even try to kick 45 yrd FGs.

True, but I'll admit I'd rather have a Kicker who is very accurate from 45 in than an inaccurate kicker who can kick a 60 yarder.

Interesting

John Hendrix – ‏@JohnJHendrix

I'm told the #Saints wanted Cortland Finnegan, but needed to keep some money off the salary cap, per source

And with the upcoming Brees extension saving some space; is a trade in the works?

NM; I just read that Josh Kline was not part of the trade with the Patriots for Eric Rowe... Perhaps the Saints are trading with the Patriots straight up?

lee909 09-06-2016 08:34 PM

Re: Finnegan out; Lutz in!

Maybe

According to Tom E. Curran, the Eagles are trading CB Eric Rowe to the Patriots for a conditional fourth-round pick.

Curran also confirms that OL(Guard) Josh Kline was removed from the trade.

or

According to Jason La Canfora, the Eagles are looking to trade OL Stefan Wisniewski and other players on the team.

La Canfora adds that the Eagles are looking to trade OL Josh Andrews.
La Canfora also mentions that the Eagles were shopping Patriots OL Josh Kline before he was removed from the trade that acquired CB Eric Rowe.
Philadelphia acquired Wisniewski as an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so this is surprising news given how recently he was brought in.

Wisniewski, 27, signed a one-year, $1.51 million contract that includes another $1.25 million through incentives. He is set to earn a base salary of $760,000 for 2016 and could earn another $250,000 in per-game roster bonuses.

We will provide more information regarding the Eagles and Wisniewski as the news is available.

Just seems odd that all a sudden; Loomis is doing the Brees deal and trying to save cap with the Finnegan cut...

just kind of odd; I don't see them all a sudden trying to get an added 5-10 mil in cap space unless something was up...

I mean cut Forbath/Finnegan for cheaper players and then the Brees extension...

If you are just paying Brees 25ml a year straight,no bonus etc it can be done.
Maybe a 2 year 50ml fully guaranteed deal. The teams locked in for 3 more season,Drew gets paid and keeps his union commitments by getting all the money. They Saints know they have 3 years to start looking for a long term option or if he is fully fit and still wants to play extend again for a year

Oh my hell. Are they gonna sign him and get a guard????? Please get this done. Extend Drew and get a good guard!

As long as we don't pay Evans what we already paid him.
