We forced 3 turnovers today and got zero points from them.

When our D plays bad our offense plays well, our offense struggled today and the D stepped up. We can never have any luck, it's heart breaking losing these type of games every week, we did it last year and I thought the team would be better this year but we aren't, we still aren't coached well, we rush to the line when we should be milking the clock.

Sean Payton has lost his nerve and is just continually hurting the team with awful decisions.
What was the awful decision? Remember that Payton wasn't calling any plays.

Rushing to the line with 4 minutes to go, he should have told Carmichael or Brees to slow it down and run the ball, not continually target Fleener, Coleman and Cadet.

Signing Fleener and releasing Spiller, another two awful decisions by Payton.

Releasing Spiller was the ONLY option.

Spiller is much better than Cadet.

Yeah Cadet might know the playbook better than any RB on our team, that is worthless if you can't catch when the ball comes your way.

Spiller's weakness is that he struggles catching the ball out of the backfield. That has always been the book on him. The mistake was picking him up and trying to turn him into a Reggie Bush or a Darren Sproles.

Spiller was a starter and Cadet has never been more than a spot player. As a starter you are going to have chances. But, Spiller in his SIX years had only one season with more than 269 yards receiving. Both Bush and Sproles averaged over 700 yards every season. He also has never had more than two receiving TD's in a season. Much inferior in the passing game.

Bull. Spiller made the pro bowl a couple of years ago when he was getting big yards in the passing game as well as the run game. He got nicked up a bit in his last couple of years there, and the same thing happened last year. He looked outstanding in preseason. Cadet has been around and shown he brings little to the table.

You don't give that guy the contract they gave him if you don't think he brings something to the table.

Even if we accept your opinion, you are admitting either way that they made a mistake. They either shouldn't have signed him or shouldn't have cut him.

But... I thought we weren't allowed to say they made a mistake?

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Look back. I said earlier in this thread that they made a mistake in signing him. The point I was arguing was that it wasn't a mistake to cut him when Breaux got injured. And Spiller never put up big yards in the passing game. He had somewhere around 460 yards once and never more than 269 in any other season.
