Obum Gwacham placed on IR
From Rotoworld
Saints placed DE Obum Gwacham (undisclosed) on injured reserve. Newly-signed OT Khalif Barnes will take his spot on the active roster. Gwacham hasn't played a snap yet this season. It's unclear what's ailing him. Source: Nick Underhill on Twitter Sep 28 - 5:32 PM Looks like they're gonna need a bigger whirlpool. |
Re: Obum Gwacham placed on IR
We might as well put the whole team on IR; this is getting to be horrendous!

Payton saving his job with the ol' Adrian Arrington IR squad.

I don't know how this didnt happen sooner, in training camp this guy was penciled in as the day one starter and he hasn't played a regular season snap this year at all...

Did any of ya'll hear the one about a healthy Saints defense?
Don't worry, no one else did either. |
Re: Obum Gwacham placed on IR
Probably a hang nail or a paper cut. Lol. All I can do is laugh. I'm not expecting a whole lot from the team anymore. It's completely torn apart by injuries.

Re: Obum Gwacham placed on IR
Man..if we got compensatory picks for how many are on IR, there wouldnt be any left for anyone else..lol

Re: Obum Gwacham placed on IR
I do remember seasons where I've thought to myself, while reading about the massive amount of injuries a team has faced, that the Saints have been lucky to only suffer a couple of injuries.
Well, it seems this season the Saints are having one of those years that at least one of two teams seem to have every season. How many offensive linemen did the Chargers use last season?! It all balances out in the end... |
Re: Obum Gwacham placed on IR
But but but... if we lost every starter, we should still be 4-0. Remember, injuries are no excuse. All of our back-ups should be just as good as our starters.
We should be able to sign 53 players off the street and still be competitive. There's no difference between Brees and McCown There's no difference between Vaccaro and Harper There's no difference between Breaux and DeVante Harris There's no difference between Davison and Jenkins There's no difference between Armstead and Peat There's no difference between Snead and Coleman There's no difference between Ellerbe and WTF his name is There's no difference between KLewis and Webb There's no difference between Josh Hill and Hoomanawanui Injuries don't matter. |

Ellerbe did look really good in the preseason... very fast to the ball, which is something the LB corps really lacks at the moment.

Did anyone except him to even play anyway

Re: Obum Gwacham placed on IR
I thought they would sign Dee Milliner

Re: Obum Gwacham placed on IR
Ellerbe is the defense's version of Chris Ivory
A game changer but he's never healthy. |
