Re: Stephan Anthony
We all think he has the potential, obviously he doesn't if the front office doesn't have him in there. I'm sure it's nothing like a bad attitude, he just might not have it.
It's not like he would be our very first round bust |
Re: Stephan Anthony
Johnathan Casillas is a good example of what will happen when Vitt is done and he moves to a real team.

Re: Stephan Anthony
lets just let him go and hell become the next castillas in new york . another square peg being forced in round hole. why is our schemes killing our drafts.or is our drafts are wrong for our schemes?

Re: Stephan Anthony
Umm, did I miss something in regards to Casillas? Has he been lighting it up suddenly? As far as I know he's still exactly what he was with us, solid but far from spectacular. The fact that he's a starter for the Giants speaks more to their lack of talent than to him becoming a great player.

Re: Stephan Anthony
When Anthony goes to another team I suppose we will all find out.

Re: Stephan Anthony
Casillas is hardly a good example seen as he's just as pedestrian in NY as he was here, the only difference is for the time being he's healthy.
He racked up some tackles because he knows what routes our running backs run, big deal...who doesn't know when Payton has been running the same offense for 11 years. After watching them for 11 years I can call the plays as we line up. |

Casillas ranked 40th, Craig Robertson is ranked 39th through 4 games thus far (includes all LB's except edge rushers). James Laurinaitis ranks 79th out of 80 :brood:. |
Re: Stephan Anthony
I can't worry about it anymore. Clearly he just doesn't have a role in Dennis Allen's defense and he's not going to get playing time based solely on being a first round pick. Just a waste of resources and his talent.

Re: Stephan Anthony
Side note - Vikings HC Mike Zimmer did a post game interview after they defeated the Giants and a reporter asked why potential stud & 1st rd WR -Laquon Treadwell has been limited in snaps so far this season. I'm paraphrasing here but Mike basically stated that he intends to play the most mentally prepared, knowledgeable players on the field at all positions (Diggs/Johnson get a lot of snaps) regardless of draft position.
Maybe the coaches in NO have similar thoughts as it relates to SAnthony, no? |
