Re: SAINTS CHIEFS LIVE THREAD

It seemed this team was determined to lose this game. I'm sure there will be people talking about how they fought because it was a close game. But the fact is that they gave this game away in a number of ways. The turnovers, the stupid penalties, especially Fairley's incredibly selfish penalty.

Until this team learns how to play on the road, they won't get any pat on the back from me. I get that it's loud over there. Is that why you fumble, or knock a ball up in the air for a pick 6, or body slam someone with the game on the line? No.

Also, was Brees allergic to looking up at the play clock? Crowd noise has nothing to do with being aware of how much time you have. He really did a poor job in that department. Overall, though, it was just a confounding multitude of blunders that lost a game we actually had a chance to win.

Getting players back will be nice, but many of these mistakes were made by veterans.

Lack of discipline on defense. Clean up the penalties.

Seattle up next.

Ingram - Hightower is much better, get rid of Ingram.

I mentioned it in the game day thread ... Ingram has very little burst or shake and bake ability. Once a defender gets a hand on him, he's pretty much done. Hightower was hitting the holes with more authority.

He is a decent runner but lacks the explosion when there is a hole.

Pretty much every time Hightower touched the ball he got significant yardage today. But they kept going right back to Ingram.

I thought Hightower played very well at the end of the year, last year, and should have been used at worst in a platoon role this year. Ingram makes less with more. He just doesn't have very good vision. And as you mentioned, is lacking in burst. His best attribute is being able to push through for a little extra when he's in a pile, yet, very confusingly, if someone just puts a hand on him he goes down. The piles hold him up and allow him to churn his legs, but in open space, he's an easy tackle.

Here are the stinking facts.
1. Haven't won the division since 2011.
2. Will have 3 consecutive loosing seasons.
3. Haven't made any improvements in 4 years.
4. Drew's not getting any younger.
5. Sean has a 5 year extension.

This ^^^ ^^. Unacceptable (consistent losing seasons). It's time for people to be fired.

6. Byrd has been awful. I'd bench him.

And number 5 is to blame for 1 through 3.

I wish we still had GW as our coach, he wasn't afraid to tell Payton "F*** you" when he had to.

He made a defense ranked number 9 with Jo Lonn Dunbar at middle linebacker, roman harper at safety and patrick robinson at corner.
