Trade Mark Ingram!?!

I know the Saints FO Isn't reading this but I think they should trade Mark Ingram now then Draft Fournette next year in the draft to give our future QB a Future RB as well...then after that pick O-line D-line(Pass Rush) DB in no particular order, it looks as though he's going to have another pedestrian season so why not get something for him now whether it be picks, players or both draft your future RB in 2017 and ROCK OUT from there

Re: Trade Mark Ingram!?!

Running back position isn't the most urgent need, but I would not pass up Fournette if he is available when the Saints draft in 2017. If the Saints could possible get some decent return for Ingram, I would say pull the trigger and let Hightower finish the year as the featured back.

And what makes you think the Saints would play Fournette differently than Ingram?

Or that Fournette would play better than Ingram?

I would be furious if we drafted Fournette.

Because they are two different RB's and Fournette is better

OK, first off, MIA sucks. We would not get anything for him. Second, have you watched LF7 at all? There is no denying his talent and what he would bring to the table. You pass on LF7 you deserve to lose.

I have seen Fournette disappear completely when playing a quality defense. He does tear it up against average or poor defenses. He hasn't done that much in the passing game coming into this year. He has averaged three catches per game in the four games he has been healthy enough to play this season which is WAY above his career average. Another red flag there on durability.

Another quality post (sarcasm). Just this year he ran for over 100 yards against both Wisconsin and Auburn (138 against Wisconsin), who both have very good defenses this year. And he was not close to 100% healthy in either game. He's still not 100% now, at least in terms of being in game shape after missing three weeks, and he STILL ran for 284 last weekend.

Last year he had 180 yards against Florida, who had a top defense and he also ran for over 140 against them as a freshman when they also had a good defense. He had over a 100 yards as a freshman against what was a very good Ole Miss defense that year. He had almost 160 against a pretty good Miss St defense last year.

What do want him to do? Play top ten defenses every week? Nobody does that. Most defenses in college football pretty much suck. Yet you don't see anyone doing what he has done the last two years, do you?

The only time he really got shut down in the last two years was against bama last year. The line gave him ZERO room. Nobody can find a hole and run through it when they have two or three guys in the backfield when they first touch the ball.

As for his receiving numbers, have you paid attention to all of us who have been saying why Les Miles needed to go? He refused to use any imagination in his offense. All he wanted to do was line up and run, and throw as a last resort. Yet, with all that predictability, Leonard managed to lead the nation in yards per game.

Now that he is being allowed to run out of the backfield and catch passes, we get to see what he can do. There is nothing he can't do at his position.

How many passes does Adrian Peterson catch, anyway? Some of you guys are just determined to find a reason to doubt Fournette. I can't get over how ridiculous some of these excuses are.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Yea BM the excuses are crazy & correct me if I'm wrong but I believe he had 100 yards in every game last year except for 1 to deny the talent of this guy is ridiculous even without a QB knowing your going to get the ball it's almost APish(Adrian Peterson) what cant he do? is the question as long as there isn't any tendon or ligament tears no red flags for me even still you wouldn't know it IF you watched him play

Everyone always goes back to the Bama game. Bama's defense would of stopped Walter Payton last year. He played in 4 games this year and avg almost 160 yards a game. He is avg 8.1 yac this year and 6.5 last year. You can argue many things but not his skill. If you saw LF7 disappear at times its because you fell asleep watching the game or turned it off.
